DVT Awareness Benefit Concert Feb. 21, 2009 in Johnstown, PA
Marie B. Walker
February, 2009
With National DVT Awareness Month just around the corner (March), a benefit concert is being held to raise awareness of deep vein thrombosis. Samantha Benito and Mary Mulhollen, students in Johnstown, PA have planned a concert to raise awareness of DVT because they were personally affected by DVT when their dear friend Monica Rohrabaugh suffered a DVT and nearly died. The experience motivated Sam and Mary to take action to raise awareness of this potentially deadly condition. The money raised by the benefit concert will be donated to ClotCare. I have provided the concert details below and will make additional details available as I have them.
When: February 21, 2009 (Saturday) at 6:00 PM
Where:
709 Railroad Street
Johnstown, PA 15901
Map
Cost: $6.00 at the door
What: A benefit show for DVT awareness featuring several bands including Westmont Ski Club, Wrestling Team Supreme, Evil Empire, Gregor Dies, A Brand New Jersey, and Endless Mike and the Beagle Club. Please note that the band lineup is subject to change.
